CHOOSE JOY- Health System Week 2021

May 9 – May 15

National Hospital Week, or as we prefer to call it, “Health System Week,” is May 9-May 15. It is the time of year that we choose to celebrate and appreciate our amazing staff throughout the organization.

This year we are also taking the time to CHOOSE JOY in memory of Kami Jo McGann.

Kami Jo McGann, MLS(ASCP)CM 1978-2021

Kami joined the Valor Health family 15 years ago and through her tenacity and dedication, earned the position of Lead Scientist and Laboratory Manager. She was a caring, talented, and inspiring leader at Valor Health and she is deeply missed by all who knew her. In February 2021, Kami received her angel wings after fighting a courageous and graceful battle with breast cancer. Our hearts are heavy, but we are encouraged by the memory of her bright smile and her positive energy- remembering to CHOOSE JOY, as we know she did.

“Kami was an amazing leader whose impact was felt throughout Valor Health. She showed us how to live life with positivity and joy. We will miss her knowledge, dedication, and leadership… and most of all, her radiant, infectious smile.” – Brad Turpen, CEO Valor Health
