Event Details

Advanced planning and expressing your wishes for care and treatment at the end of life requires a good deal of thought and conversation. Sadly, the health choices that are made at the end of life are seldom planned. That may lead to health decisions being made for us. In Idaho, you can make your wishes known now, and have them honored in the future. These are called advanced directives.

The Idaho Quality of Life Coalition will be presenting a free class, Making Your Wishes Known- A Guide to Idaho’s Advance Directives, on Tuesday, April 24th presented by the Quality of Life Coalition, Executive Director, Casey Corbin. The class will be held in the Valor Health Community Education Classroom at 1024 Fernlee Street.

This class will cover the basics of Idaho’s Advance Directives, the Idaho POST form and the specific value of each to patient and family.  A significant portion of the class will be devoted to your questions.  You are encouraged to bring any questions you have about the Idaho Living Will, Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare and the POST.

The Idaho Quality of Life Coalition is a collection of healthcare professionals, private citizens and businesses working together to provide information and education on hospice, palliative care and advanced planning. They advocate for compassionate care at the end of life.

To reserve a seat, or for more information, contact Sue Vahlberg, Community Health Relations manager at Valor Health, 901-3212.
