The Valor Health Laboratory uses state-of-the-art instrumentation to perform a wide variety of laboratory testing. Our Lab performs 90% of all laboratory testing in-house. In fact, we are one of the few Critical Access Hospitals that perform microbiology and molecular testing in our lab.

  • Blood Banking: Blood typing and screening, packed red blood cells and plasma for transfusion.
  • Microbiology: Various bacterial cultures—including designation as a Sentinel Laboratory for potential biological threat agents by the Idaho Bureau of Laboratories.
  • Molecular: Highly sensitive and specific molecular testing for optimal patient care.
  • Chemistry: Integrated analysis for chemistry and immunochemistry provides a greater testing menu and faster result times.
  • Hematology: Utilizing fluorescence flow cytometry and hydrodynamic focusing for detailed cell counts.
  • Coagulation: Innovative mechanical technology for accurate results in common specimen interferences.
