What is Sports Medicine?
Sports Medicine is a branch of medicine that focuses on the treatment and prevention of injuries related to sports and exercise. Our team includes surgeons, nurses, and an athletic trainer, working with a variety of physically active patients, including sports athletes of all ages and the industrial/occupational athlete.
What is an industrial/occupational athlete? These are the hard-working men and women who may need to treat or prevent injury received in their field of work.
In rural Gem County, we see a diverse need when it comes to sports medicine and our expert team is available to take care of your unique needs, whether it’s to get you back in the game or out in the country. We’ve got you covered.
Building our Community with Sports Medicine
To strengthen our relationship with the Gem Community, our sports medicine team has built a partnership with the Emmett High School and other youth sports programs, providing athletic training care during home sporting events. Valor Health also provides free sports physicals and baseline concussion testing for high school student athletes each year.
Whatever your passion, get back to it! Learn more about injury prevention and treatment here.
