Ian Qureshi D.O., Ph.D. is a hematology-oncology physician with Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute. He received his Ph.D. in physiology at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008 before going to medical school with a focus on molecular biology and specifically on the effects of preconditioning as it pertains to the use of doxorubicin as an anti-neoplastic drug using both in-vivo and ex-vivo models. He has contributed to many publications in high-impact journals such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.

Dr. Qureshi has served on the American Osteopathic Association technology committee and has a professional interest in advancements of medical technology. In keeping with his continued interest in translational medicine, he utilizes the abundance of clinical trials offered by Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute. He utilizes the latest evidence-based guidelines and stays contemporary with ongoing developments in the field of hematology-oncology. His personal interests include fly fishing, snow sports, hiking and running.
