The Valor Health Foundation was formed in May 2019 and is comprised of people from various walks of life who are passionate about helping to grow and support a robust healthcare system for Gem County and the surrounding area.
We are focused on moving from hospital-based “sick care” to outpatient-based proactive health management, providing exceptional hometown quality, customized experiences, and convenience, and improving health and wellness across Gem County.
Scholarship
The Valor Health Foundation is excited to announce the availability of five (5) $1,000 scholarships to Gem County students completing their last year of secondary education and pursuing post-secondary education for a health-related career or profession.
These scholarship opportunities are available to any Gem County student attending public, private, charter, or home schools.
The Foundation is proud to be able to offer this opportunity to support the development of a robust healthcare workforce with the hope that many graduates will return to rural areas like ours and use their knowledge and talents to benefit their community.
The scholarship for this year is currently closed. Please come back for the 2025 scholarship round.

Long-term goals are centered around moving from hospital-based “sick care” to outpatient-based proactive health management, providing exceptional hometown quality, customized experiences, and convenience, and improving health and wellness across Gem County.
