Dr. Beatty was drawn to Family Medicine because it allows her to build true relationships with patients of all ages and provide full-spectrum family care. An Idaho native, she is thrilled to practice in her home state and particularly passionate about rural health where she can be involved in her community and build strong relationships with both her patients and her neighbors.

Jon Hlavinka, MD
Dr. Jon Hlavinka joins Valor Health Family Medicine, offering our patients increased access to primary care services. Born to a rural family physician, Dr. Hlavinka began his healthcare
journey at a young age, joining his father on hospital rounds and eventually becoming a hospital orderly and then a paramedic for the volunteer ambulance service.
Dr Hlavinka spent time practicing medicine in remote Alaska and served as the medical director for the Kodiak Island Native Association. He would travel by amphibious planes to secluded
villages to care for his patients. Upon starting his family, he moved back to the lower 48 and joined a clinic in Nampa that eventually became Saltzer Health. Over the span of his career, Dr. Hlavinka has provided care for all ages of patients, from birth through life, and specializes in adult chronic care.
When not serving his patients and community, Dr. Hlavinka can be found enjoying the great Idaho outdoors. His passions include skiing, camping, biking, hiking, kayaking, and photography. He also spends time on his hobby farm with his chickens, goats, and garden.
Access to primary care is important for you and your family. As we work to recruit new permanent providers. we are excited to welcome Dr. Jon Hlavinka to our Family Medicine team to help increase appointment availability during this transition. Dr. Hlavinka has over 30 years of experience and will provide interim care at our clinic through 2025.
Pediatric

Zachary Fox, MD
Dr. Zachary Fox is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School and former medical resident of the Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C. He is committed to delivering great care to kids, aged zero through 18, and has a special interest in helping out kids with complex medical conditions.
Dr. Fox believes in an integrated approach to healthcare that takes into account a child’s family and that family’s unique values, beliefs and goals, so he can provide evidence-based and individualized care. He splits his clinical time between Valor Health and teaching resident physicians at Full Circle Health in Boise. In his free time, Dr. Fox loves to be outside rock climbing, biking or skiing with his wife, or baking in the kitchen.

Jennifer King, DNP
Dr. Jennifer King is a Doctor of Nursing Practice with over 25 years of experience in healthcare. She graduated from Graceland University with a master's in science of nursing in 2014 and Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions with a Doctor of Nursing Science in 2016.
She also holds a Bachelor of Science focusing on Human Resource Management. She has been practicing in Treasure Valley since 2014, caring for people of all ages. She especially enjoys serving the pediatric population beginning at birth; however, she does treat all ages. Dr. King has practiced mainly in the Treasure Valley, focusing on rural areas. However, she did have an 18-month stent in Spokane during the COVID-19 epidemic, where she floated to many of the corporate clinics. It was in Spokane that she became familiar with transgender care and the homeless population, giving her a new insight into her practice. She returned to the Treasure Valley in 2021. In her practice, Dr. King specializes in treating migraines, pediatrics, and nutrition. She enjoys incorporating medicine with preventive measures to obtain the best health possible for her patients. She also treats transgender care and hormone replacement therapy for men.
Outside of work, she enjoys riding one of her six "Paint" horses, on which she competes in barrel racing and carries sponsor flags in many of the local rodeos. She has also been happily married to her husband for over twenty years and has five children and, soon to be, five grandchildren.
Dr. King recently left Saltzer Health and chose Valor Health because it focuses on patient-led healthcare.

David M Shuey II, PA-C

Physician Assistant, David Shuey started his clinical career as a radiologic technologist in Eastern Idaho after receiving a bachelor’s degree in radiographic science. He later obtained a bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies. Prior to Valor Health, he worked in emergency and correctional medicine throughout southern Idaho. He believes in listening to each patient and providing thorough follow-up care. David is proud to be part of the Valor family. He believes in building healthy relationships and is dedicated to the Valor mission to improve the wellness and health of all generations and honor the dignity of each person he serves.

Ty Weber, MSN, FNP-C
Ty Weber is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Gerontology from Brigham Young University.
Ty specializes in managing acute and chronic conditions, with particular expertise in joint injections, obesity management, and biopsies. He enjoys building meaningful relationships with his patients by fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment.
Outside of work, Ty enjoys spending time outdoors and giving back to the community through local health initiatives. Ty is thrilled to join Valor Health’s family medicine team and looks forward to partnering with patients to achieve their healthcare goals.

Lisa Isaksen, NP-C, PMHNP-BC

Lisa Isaksen is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with expertise in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions across the lifespan. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and received her PMHNP certificate from Frontier Nursing University and received her certificate in and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Lisa brings a unique perspective to mental health care, combining her advanced nursing skills with her deep understanding of social and emotional well-being. As a PMHNP, she is qualified to prescribe medications and manage psychopharmacological treatments.
Lisa has been part of the Valor Health team for over 10 years. She has worked in our Family Medicine and Urgent Care clinic, as well as in our Specialty Medicine Clinic, and previously specialized in acute and chronic conditions, wound care, and foot and ankle care. When Lisa isn’t helping members of our community live their best lives, she enjoys traveling around the world and keeping her bull terrier named Karl out of mischief.

Gail Baker, LCSW
Gail has been practicing as a licensed clinical social worker for more than 15 years. She completed her master’s degree in social work with an emphasis on children and families at Walla Walla University. She is completing her doctorate in health sciences.
She was born and practiced in Montana before relocating to Idaho, residing in Emmett for five years. She has practiced throughout Idaho for the last ten years, providing clinical oversight and developing behavioral health treatment programs for youth and adults. She believes that mental health starts with person centered treatment planning that incorporates all aspects of the mind and body. She practices evidence based treatment that is tailored to the unique healthcare needs of the individual.
