Matt Godfrey, MHPA, CMPE

Matt has served in positions in healthcare administration in the Pacific Northwest and Idaho over the past sixteen years. He has worked in both the hospital and medical group sides and has a special interest in rural healthcare. He has chosen to work within not-for-profit organizations as he feels like his work there is not just a job but more of a calling.

Matt is a Certified Medical Practice Executive with the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and has also volunteered with the organization. He has received training related to LEAN, Culture Change and Engagement, and enjoys his opportunities to serve and mentor and utilize that knowledge.

Matt grew up in Eastern Idaho and chose to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah which when completed he earned a master’s degree in Health Policy and Administration from Washington State University in Spokane Washington.

Matt has directed the creation or merger of several clinics in the Treasure Valley and is passionate about growing services and fostering an environment of improved care access for patients. He is a servant leader who listens and believes in gathering the best ideas to solve problems.

Matt and his wife, Sara, have four beautiful children. Matt has been a community volunteer in the BSA and with his church, and as a parent coach with the YMCA and Meridian PAL. He enjoys supporting his kids in their sports and artistic endeavors, and loves the great outdoors including skiing, mountain biking, disc golf, camping and fishing.
