Valor Health introduces Interim CEO

Interim CEO Brad TurpenThe Valor Health Board of Directors would like to announce the selection of Brad Turpen, FACHE, FACMPE as Interim CEO of Valor Health. Since June 2015, Brad served as Chief Operating Officer of Physician Services at Valor Health. His healthcare career spans private medical groups, hospital owned medical groups, and hospital administration.

 

Interim CEO Experience

Brad grew up in the Treasure Valley and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the Air Force Academy. He then served active duty for six years. He earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Utah State University. In total, he has worked in Healthcare Administration for the past 15 years.

Brad is currently the Board President of the Idaho Healthcare Executive Forum, our state ACHE chapter, after serving multiple years as the Education Chair.   Brad is also an Idaho MGMA Past President, having volunteered on the IMGMA Board from 2006-2012.  He also served as a Commissioner for Boise City Parks and Recreation from 2011-2015.

Brad loves raising his three very active daughters with his wife, Tara. When they are not coaching youth sports, you can find them enjoying Idaho’s beautiful outdoors. They are active in biking, fishing, and skiing.

Past CEO Wade Johnson

Brad Turpen is known for delivering outstanding patient experiences with a culture of positive professionalism and trust. He assumed the interim CEO position July 3, 2017. Current Valor Health CEO, Wade Johnson, FACHE joined St Peters Hospital, in Helena, Montana July 31, 2017.
