Dialysis Care

Hospital-based dialysis care (nephrology) is available at Valor Health Hospital for transitional care and emergency patients.

What is dialysis?

Dialysis ensures the maintenance of homeostasis (a state of balance within the body) in people experiencing loss of kidney function. Patients who experience chronic kidney disease or a prolonged, gradual loss in renal function can now receive treatment at Valor Health Hospital during their inpatient stay. Our highly trained and dedicated nursing staff can provide bedside treatment in our dedicated dialysis suite or a patient’s transitional care room.  Valor Health has partnered with RENASOLVE and their team of telehealth providers, offering patient consultation and result review.

What type of dialysis is offered at Valor Health?

Valor Health offers Hemodialysis for people with an inpatient stay. Hemodialysis is a type of dialysis in which a machine filters waste, salts, and fluid from the blood when the kidneys are no longer healthy enough to do this.
