Michael joined Valor Health in August 2025. He originally pursued a career in healthcare with the goal of becoming a physician, but over time developed a passion for supporting frontline caregivers through leadership in healthcare administration- specifically in financial operations. He chose Valor Health to be part of a highly capable team dedicated to solving complex challenges and serving a community that genuinely values connection and compassion.
Michael is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). His 20+ year healthcare career spans military medicine, hospital operations, outpatient services, and headquarters-level financial oversight, including executive roles across $2 billion+ healthcare systems and rural critical access hospitals.
Michael grew up in Wenatchee, Washington, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from Saint Leo University, followed by an MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of Scranton. He also holds a graduate certificate in Executive and Professional Coaching from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Throughout his career, Michael has remained committed to community service. He has led small groups at church, coached his children’s sports teams, served on nonprofit boards, and partnered with schools to support educational programs.
Michael and his wife, Cassie, are raising four children spanning from elementary school to university. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors- hiking, fishing, running, reading, and cheering on his favorite baseball teams.
