Valor Health 2025 Customer Service Employee(s) of the Year

Valor Health’s Quality and Performance Improvement Department is proud to recognize the 2025 Valor Health Customer Service Employee of the Year Award recipients – Victoria Mendoza- Executive Assistant and Medical Staff Coordinator (non-clinical recipient), Kathy Prindle, MSN RN- Executive Director of Clinical Services (clinical recipient), and Dr. Trevor Tredennick, Emergency Physician (provider recipient).

Each year during Healthcare Quality Week- the third week in October- we take the opportunity to recognize Valor Health team members who demonstrate excellence in customer service.This year, 30 Valor Health employees were recognized for delivering exceptional care and going above and beyond in serving our patients, guests, and coworkers. Each of these nominees embodies our commitment to excellence and dedication to organization and community. Congratulations to all of the nominees and the 2025 recipients.

It is my absolute pleasure to stand before you today to present one of the most special honors we give each year- the Non-Clinical Employee of the Year Award. This recognition is not just about job performance- it’s about character, dedication, and the kind of spirit that uplifts an entire organization.

This year’s recipient truly embodies all of that and more. Please join me in recognizing someone who many of us couldn’t imagine this hospital running without- Vicki Mendoza.

Vicki serves as our Executive Assistant, but if you know her- you know she’s so much more than her title. She is the smile that greets you in the hallway, the helping hand when you’re in a crunch, and the quiet engine behind so many things that run smoothly around here- often outside of regular work hours, and always without being asked.

She brings warmth, positivity, and an energy that is simply contagious. Whether it’s answering the call to organize events through our Fun Squad, making sure our community feels welcome, or ensuring our teams feel seen and supported, Vicki gives her time, her talents, and her heart.

She doesn’t just go the extra mile, she makes the journey better for everyone else along the way.

Vicki, your commitment, your kindness, and your can-do attitude do not go unnoticed. We are beyond lucky to have you as part of our hospital family.

I have the great honor of presenting the Clinical Employee of the Year Award, a recognition reserved for someone who not only meets the demands of clinical excellence, but goes above and beyond to lead, support, and inspire.

This year’s recipient is someone whose impact is felt across every corner of our hospital- a person who sets the tone for leadership, compassion, and dedication every single day.

Please join me in recognizing Kathy Prindle, our Executive Director of Clinical Services.

Kathy is the kind of leader you hope to have on your team, the kind of person you’re lucky to know. She is a go-getter in every sense of the word, someone who doesn’t wait for things to happen, but steps up, takes charge, and ensures the job gets done (and done right).

Whether she’s working side-by-side with her team to prepare for surveyors, collaborating with Quality to uphold the highest standards of care, or even cutting her PTO short just to make sure her staff felt supported during a visit from DNV, Kathy never hesitates to put others first.

She brings strength, knowledge, and an incredible work ethic to everything she does. But it’s more than that. Kathy brings heart and the famous “Prindle hug.”

She’s the friendly face you’re always glad to see. The contagious laugh that lightens a room. The helping hand when you need it most. And when is it time for a little fun? Kathy’s right there jumping in with the Fun Squad, proving that leadership isn’t just about hard work, it’s about connection, camaraderie, and making people feel valued.

Her staff trust her, look up to her, and know they can always turn to her. And so do we.

Kathy, you are a remarkable leader, an incredible clinician, and a true asset to this hospital. Your commitment, your energy, and your care for both patients and people are unmatched, and we are all so fortunate to work alongside you.

This recognition is not just well-deserved, it’s a reflection of the exceptional care, leadership, and integrity Dr. Tredennick brings to our hospital each day.

Dr. Tredennick, has become a cornerstone of our Emergency Department. His unwavering commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients is second to none. Whether it’s going the extra mile for a patient, stepping in to support a colleague, or ensuring that every protocol is followed with precision, Dr. Tredennick consistently leads by example.

He plays a vital role in ensuring that our ED runs efficiently, even under the most challenging circumstances. His collaboration with our Quality team helps ensure that staff are well-trained, informed, and aligned with best practices, always keeping patient safety and care at the forefront.

In every sense, Dr. Tredennick is not only a leader but an inspiration. He exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond, and we are incredibly fortunate to have him as part of our hospital family.
